  1. What do we need to bring with us for the day?
You need practical clothing and for women with long hair, it needs to be tied back, a camera to record your day and lots of enthusiasm!
  2. Do the rings turn out perfectly?
Yes, each couple has a jeweller who shadows them and supervises throughout the day- you get as much help as you need as everybody's abilities will vary.
  3. Can we make other styles rather than just plain bands?
Yes, this can be discussed prior to the day, via phone or email and we can help you formulate your designs and plans.
  4. What happens if we make mistakes during the day?
Do not panic! The jeweller who is with you is always on hand to guide and watch you at every stage - if it looks like things are not going in the right direction, they will step in to help rectify or prevent mistakes being made.
  5. Can we have diamonds or other stones set into the rings?
Yes, this can be designed and arranged but they will need to be set after the experience day by a skilled stone setter.
  6. Can we have engraving done on the rings?
Yes, this can be done on the inside or outside of the rings - if you require it being done on the inside this is included in the price, however, if you required the outside being done this is an extra charge.
  7. How long does it take to make both rings and for the experience?
We begin the day experience at 9.30 am and most couples normally finish making their rings by approximately 2pm.
  8. Can we take our rings away with us?
This is not possible on the day because they need to be sent to the London assay office to be hallmarked- this is a legal requirement before any jewellery is sold in the UK. However, they can be picked up or posted out about a week after the experience is completed.
  9. Do we need to book the experience a long time in advance?
We generally advise to book a minimum of 2 months prior to the wedding as we can not estimate our bookings and there is a limited number of places each Saturday .We only book a maximum of 3 couples per Saturday to allow for plenty of room to work in our workshop.
  10. When does the experience take place?
We run the Wedding Ring Workshop on Saturdays, however, we can be flexible for those who can not make this and can accomodate to a day in the week too.
  11. What does it cost and what is included in the experience?
It costs £150 per person, which includes all design work, teaching, engraving on the inside of the rings, a light lunch, champagne and beers, disposable cameras to photograph the day - the only extra costs are the cost of materials chosen to make your wedding bands out of an any diamonds or other stones chosen to put into the rings.
  12. Is a deposit required to reserve a date?
Yes, we require a £100 deposit which is non refundable on all cancellations. It is, however, possible to move dates with 2 weeks notice given.
